Mimi and François know each other from their university time. He has studied medicine, she Portuguese language and literature. After their graduation, work took them to Munich, South Germany. Almost 20 years together they led their own company “Geelen & Geelen GmbH” which supported in Europe and the United States pharmaceutical companies, universities and Governments in the field of clinical research. In addition they were also the publishers of the journal (translated) “German journal of Clinical Research””. In 2010 it was time for a new challenge.
Your hosts are already some years busy with meditation and contemplation and discovering how to “recharge your batteries”. You will understand: conversations with friends and guests often concern this topic. These talks were a source of inspiration for François to develop a course “Mind Coaching”, a nice opportunity to combine his medical background with his studies and experiences in the field of meditation. This course (Link) is planned to be published in summer 2013. The training itself will be in offered in the future both in Les Pensées d’Or as well as in the Netherlands.
After professional training at the Photography school in Amsterdam and the Akademie für Gestaltung und Design in Munich, Mimi has chosen in France for the mosaic art. Here she could benefit from the high-quality mosaic lessons by La Maison de la Mosaïque Contemporaire in the nearby Paray-le-Monial. Mosaic is more than just a passion for Mimi: it inspires her to contemplation and self-reflection. Because she likes to share this experience with others, Mimi offers different mosaic workshops.
The nearly 200 year old farmhouse feels as a warm blanket as soon as you enter. It has been restored while maintaining its original character. The time is ticking here differently and the surrounding nature with its fields and hedges inspires spirituality and tranquility. The many reactions from friends have convinced Mimi and François that it would be a good idea to open up their doors for others as well. You are more than welcome!
